The Battle Rounds also brought in a new group of celebrity advisors to help the coaches prepare their artists: Ariana DeBose joined Kelly Clarkson’s team, Patti LaBelle worked with Queen Latifah, Alex Warren advised Adam Levine, and Carly Pearce teamed up with Riley Green.

Battle 1: Alt Bloom vs. Morgan Lett — Team Queen
Song: “Ex-Factor” by Lauryn Hill
Winner: Alt Bloom
Alt Bloom and Morgan Lett opened the night with a challenging rendition of Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor.” Both singers impressed Queen Latifah, but she ultimately gave Alt the narrow win.
Queen praised Alt for meeting the challenge of keeping up with Morgan’s intricate vocal runs without losing control of the performance. She said his ability to handle the demanding arrangement made the difference and expressed excitement about continuing to work with him.
Battle 2: Connor Closs vs. Cal Cook — Team Adam
Song: “Homewrecker” by Sombr
Winner: Connor Closs
Connor Closs and Cal Cook brought plenty of energy to their performance of Sombr’s “Homewrecker.” The coaches praised their vocal abilities and the way they handled the song’s demanding pace, but Adam Levine ultimately selected Connor.
Levine described the difference between the two contestants as extremely small. He highlighted Connor’s distinctive tone, strong stage presence, and natural appeal, adding that the singer had put himself in an excellent position heading into Cut Week.
Battle 3: Joe Henley vs. Kenna Elpers — Team Riley

Song: “Don’t Mind If I Do” by Riley Green
Winner: Joe Henley
Riley Green faced a difficult decision between Joe Henley and Kenna Elpers. He stressed that Kenna had done nothing wrong, but Joe’s distinctive voice and individual talent ultimately earned him the win.
Green said he was looking forward to helping Joe develop throughout the competition and believed the singer had a strong chance of progressing through Cut Week.
Battle 4: Koumba Diallo vs. Lance Tenazas — Team Kelly
Song: “Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish
Winner: Koumba Diallo
Koumba Diallo and Lance Tenazas both delivered strong performances, but Kelly Clarkson felt Koumba had a special quality that emerged whenever she stepped onto the stage.
Clarkson said Koumba seemed to reach another level during the performance, making her the contestant she could not pass up.
Battle 5: Caroline Alexis vs. Everett Bounds — Team Riley
Song: “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” by Conway Twitty
Winner: Everett Bounds

Caroline Alexis and Everett Bounds took on the country classic “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man,” but Riley Green ultimately chose Everett to advance.
Green explained that Everett’s natural fit with upbeat, traditional country music made him particularly valuable to the team. Although Everett had received only one chair turn during the Blind Auditions, Green believed the Battle would help viewers recognize the range of his abilities.
Battle 6: Kayleigh Matthews vs. Lillie Kolich — Team Queen
Song: “Girl Crush” by Little Big Town
Winner: Lillie Kolich
The final Battle of the night saw Kayleigh Matthews face Lillie Kolich in a performance of Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush.”
Queen Latifah chose Lillie, explaining that the singer had a style all her own. One particular note during the performance stood out as so distinctive that Queen felt she had to select her.
However, Kayleigh’s journey was not over. Both Kelly Clarkson and Riley Green attempted to Steal her after the Battle, leaving her with a choice to make on Tuesday night. The outcome of that decision had yet to be revealed.
