RF. Princess Catherine and Prince William Attend Sunday Church Service with Their Kids Near Balmoral

The Wales family stepped out together, showing their usual united front during a recent church visit near Balmoral.

Prince William and Princess Catherine were photographed with their three children as they arrived at and later left a Sunday church service in Scotland. The images, shared online, quickly drew attention, with many discussing both the family’s demeanor and their safety while commuting.

Currently on their summer break, the Prince and Princess of Wales were seen heading to and from Crathie Kirk, a church close to Balmoral Castle. William was behind the wheel of a Range Rover, with Catherine seated in the front passenger seat.

Their children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven — were in the back. Charlotte sat directly behind her father, while her brothers were positioned beside one another. This outing quickly became a discussion online, with observers weighing in on several aspects of the family.

One person summed up the mood, “They look so gloomy.” Someone else observed more closely, “They all looked serious, tense almost, IMO. As if something had happened, been said or they were expecting something [sic].”

The conversation then shifted sharply toward safety, with one commenter asking, “Why is no one in the automobile wearing seatbelts?!” Others with similar concerns chimed in, “I don’t think any of them are wearing seatbelts.” Another person pointed out, “Doesn’t look like the kids are wearing them either.”

The strongest criticism came from someone who highlighted, “For someone who’s mother died in a car crash, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, I find it appalling that William isn’t either. It’s truly a gross example to set especially when you’re being photographed and have your kids in the car. Short distance is irrelevant [sic].”

William, his wife, and their children typically make public appearances together at official functions, often sparking conversation online. During this year’s Trooping the Colour, a sweet and relatable balcony moment captured attention when Catherine exchanged a few words with Louis. Thanks to a lip reader, fans believed they knew exactly what she said.

All eyes were on Louis as the royal family gathered for the King’s official birthday celebration. Known for his playful energy and meme-worthy expressions, many wondered if he’d treat the crowd to another round of cheeky antics.

But this year, Louis showed a more composed side, and a lot of that may be thanks to his mom. While older siblings George and Charlotte helped keep Louis engaged throughout the event, there was one brief moment when Catherine gently stepped in to guide him.

According to a video shared on Instagram and analyzed by lip reader Jeremy Freeman for The Mirror, just before the National Anthem began following the Red Arrows’ flypast, Catherine leaned in and calmly said, “National anthem. Louis, stand.”

The moment, captured in real-time and quickly reposted across social media, shows Louis straightening up right on cue, his posture snapping into place as the music swelled, a quiet nod to how much he’s growing into his royal role.

According to Jeremy, the instruction came just as Louis seemed distracted by something to the side, shifting his focus away from the moment.

Catherine, composed as ever, issued the nudge with her signature calm and warmth. The brief exchange didn’t go unnoticed. It became one of the most talked-about parts of the day.

Fans praised Catherine for her gentle but effective parenting style, especially in such a high-pressure, high-profile setting.

The moment reminded many that behind the formal uniforms, choreographed pageantry, and global cameras, these are still real parents raising real children, just with a few extra eyes on them.

The Royal Family’s official website described the day as a beautiful display of military pageantry. The Instagram page revealed that more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians took part in the tradition.

But for many royal watchers, it was Catherine’s quiet command and Louis’ heartfelt response that gave the celebration its most touching moment.

The body language between the two was filled with familiarity and care, revealing the close bond that’s grown even stronger in recent months.

As the jets roared above and crowds cheered from below, Catherine’s calm presence beside Louis was a powerful reminder of why she remains such a beloved figure, not just as the Princess of Wales, but as a hands-on mum navigating royal life with grace and ease.

And as if the Trooping moment didn’t melt enough hearts, the royal family also joined in Father’s Day celebrations. On their official social media page, they shared a tribute with the caption, “To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father’s Day today.”

The post drew a mix of reactions, from warm well-wishes to the occasional critical comment, but many focused on the sweet sentiment and family-first tone.

William, meanwhile, got a personal Father’s Day shoutout from his kids, via a heartwarming Instagram post captioned, “Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L ”

The photos showed William with his children through the years, and fans loved seeing the family’s more relaxed, down-to-earth side.

Many commented on how grounded the Prince and Princess of Wales continue to seem, even with royal duties in full swing.
