Late one night near Brea Canyon in Orange County, California, a home security camera recorded a scene that quickly captured the attention of animal lovers across the country.
A young stray dog stood alone outside a home while several coyotes approached him.
For nearly 45 minutes, the dog remained in the area, carefully responding to the coyotes’ movements and eventually emerging unharmed from the encounter.
