Despite the massive size of the growth — weighing approximately 2 kilograms, or over 4 pounds — it had not penetrated Biggie’s skull. That single detail meant there was hope.
A Risky but Life-Saving Surgery
Just two days later, Biggie was taken into surgery.
The operation was complex. The tumor was tightly wrapped around a large portion of his skull, and removing it required extraordinary precision. When the mass was finally removed and weighed, it was revealed to be more than 10 percent of Biggie’s total body weight.
The veterinary team knew one thing for certain: without intervention, Biggie would not have survived much longer.
